OctaiPipe is developing the Advisor for Cooling Efficiency (ACE), an AI-powered performance agent deployed on our revolutionary platform to deliver significant improvements in data centre efficiency.

We are a young, ambitious company with a vision to bring intelligence across the full spectrum of the IoT ecosystem. Following a recent successful funding round, we are growing rapidly and entering an exciting phase of acceleration as we apply our technology to one of the most critical challenges in modern infrastructure: energy-efficient data centre cooling.

The Role 

You will be responsible for the Product Quality Assurance function within the company on a global basis and as the company grows so will you. 

Your role is pivotal to a successful Quality Assurance function and customer satisfaction. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Define overall testing strategy and processes for Product in collaboration with the Product Manager. 

Define the testing strategy for each release.  

Define and implement manual and automated testing.  

Define and run benchmark testing working closely with the Head of Data Science and Engineering Team Lead. 

Work closely with the Product Manager and Tech Leads to triage and prioritise defects and fixes.  

Define and oversee compatibility and regression test coverage across components, versions, and representative customer estates, in collaboration with Product Management, to inform maintenance and lifecycle decisions. 

Support and improve the testing processes following industry best practices. 

Verify issues raised by customer and propose workarounds where possible. 

Collaborate with Product to inform roadmap ideas by providing quality, risk, and testability perspectives. 

Your profile  

An experienced Quality Assurance Lead professional or a Senior QA looking for their next challenge. You are an energetic and motivated individual. Technically you are comfortable with the following:  

BDD and specification-by-example 

Serenity BDD framework for test automation 

Web application testing using Typescript and Playwright 

REST APIs – manual testing and unit testing, best practice in API testing. 

GitHub Actions – building workflows to automate tests and build out our automatic test suite. 

Docker – basic knowledge including how to build and how to run, no need for super depth. 

Python – testing libraries, manual tests and writing unit tests. 

C# - testing code, .Net framework. 

Azure/AWS – understanding of cloud providers and how to create/remove/configure resources. 

Kubernetes – automating cloud testing and testing some MLOps functionality. 

You also have: 

At least 5 years in a Product Quality Assurance senior position 

Domain knowledge in Data Centres  

Excellent interpersonal skills 

SaaS, PAAS software products experience 

Some exposure to ETL 

Some Devops/ MLOps experience 

Have previously worked following an Agile/scrum methodology 

Ideally significant exposure to embedded AI 

Ideally Managed Services experience 

Practical experience of running security and performance testing in cloud environments 

Practical experience setting and tracking OKRs
