Job Description
About Us:
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.
We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems - not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe - today.
Your mission:
As Product Owner working directly with the Program Lead, you are the critical link between stakeholders, users, and our agile development teams. You will make an important contribution to delivering state-of-the-art mission software for our military customers.
Responsibilities:
• Implement and grow Scrum across the development teams.
• Define and communicate the product roadmap in alignment with business and user needs.
• Maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to maximize value delivery.
• Define and communicate acceptance criteria and ensure the quality of delivered increments.
• Collaborate with development teams and the Scrum Master to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment on sprint goals.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term strategic objectives, especially under security, certification, and integration constraints.
• Collaborate with the team by reviewing code and assuring alignment between product requirements and delivered software.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner (or comparable role) in complex software projects.
• Previous software development experience in C++.
• Solid understanding of Agile principles, specifically Scrum.
• Experience with mission-critical, regulated, or security-sensitive software environments (defence, aerospace, transportation, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
• Structured, analytical mindset with a focus on delivering value.
• Excellent German and English (written and spoken).
Nice to have:
• Familiarity with military operational concepts and integration requirements.
• Experience with certification processes and security considerations in defence software.
• Strong technical understanding of APIs, system integration, and complex software landscapes.
If you're interested in building the future of European defence with us and you see yourself reflected in the description above, please send us your CV in English. We’re looking forward to meeting you.
