About the Product & Marketing Design Track

This track is for students who want to design real products, campaigns, and creative experiences used by millions of people worldwide.

Design at Lightricks is not decoration. It is product thinking, storytelling, experimentation, and impact. Students are full contributors to real projects and work closely with product managers, developers, marketers, and other designers.

You will join one of our design teams across Product, Creative, or Marketing. Your manager will introduce you to the team’s workflows, tools, and business goals, whether that means shaping product experiences, designing in-app visuals and motion, or creating marketing campaigns and brand assets.

What you will be doing

Depending on the team’s focus and priorities, your day-to-day work may include:

Product Design

• Research, design, and prototype new user experiences based on real product needs

• Create wireframes, user flows, UI components, and interactive prototypes

• Support design handoff and collaborate with developers during implementation

• Help maintain UX and UI consistency across products

Creative & Motion Design

• Design in-app visuals, motion, animations, and creative assets

• Create visual concepts that enhance storytelling and product experiences

• Work with design systems, illustration, typography, and layout

Marketing & Brand Design

• Design and create motion-driven assets for social media, campaigns, newsletters, performance marketing, and app store visuals

• Iterate and localize top-performing creatives for different audiences and global markets

• Support global launches and creative campaigns reaching millions of users

• Experiment with AI-generated visuals, storytelling formats, and new creative tools

Your skills and experience

What we’re looking for

• Currently studying Visual Communication, Animation, UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

• A strong portfolio demonstrating visual quality, design thinking, and creativity

• Care for user experience, storytelling, and visual craft

• Enjoy working end-to-end — from idea to execution, not just isolated tasks

• Collaborative, open to feedback, and motivated to grow

• Proficiency in Figma and at least one of: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere

• Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and composition

• Experience with Generative AI tools in design workflows

Nice to have

• Motion or animation skills

• Illustration, 3D, or storytelling experience

• Curiosity about AI-powered creative tools and how they shape modern design

Projects can come from school, personal work, freelance, or experiments. We care more about depth, process, and decision-making than polished visuals alone.

Short Q&A

Will I work only on one type of design?
You will join a specific team, but many students gain exposure to multiple types of design work during the program.

Can I include school projects in my portfolio? Yes. School, personal, freelance, or experimental projects are all valid.

Do I need experience with AI tools? Yes. We use AI tools in our day-to-day work, and we expect you to have experience utilizing them in design workflows. Curiosity and willingness to keep exploring new tools are just as important.
