Nectar is on a mission to provide quality health care for pets through modernized veterinary technology. Our team was founded by Harvard, Stanford, McKinsey, Meta, and Square alumni, and we were named to BCV’s 2023 Top 50 Emerging SaaS list. Today's veterinary clinic tools are outdated and challenging to use. Our vision is an intuitive cloud platform with a streamlined medical record system and predictive analytics to equip vets and pet owners with insightful data. Having launched our MVP and closed our second funding round in Q1 of 2023, we have been rapidly gaining market traction. Earlier this year, we partnered with a veterinary group with 300+ clinics, and we are looking to rapidly scale our operations!

Product Manager role

We're seeking a Product Manager with expertise in the veterinary industry, who is eager to lead the next phase of our product's evolution, casting vision and executing on both our new veterinary group partner and our independently-owned clinic customers’ needs. In this role, you'll drive the full design-development-iteration cycle of our product — owning multiple stakeholder relationships to align on product vision and roadmap, scoping and guiding innovative feature design, and managing sprints to develop optimally and efficiently.

This is an opportunity for someone ready to take the reigns of their career and play a pivotal role in shaping our product, team, and the veterinary industry. You'll tackle exciting challenges, such as how to leverage AI to unlock new efficiencies throughout the traditional clinic workflow, how to boost client compliance to recommended treatment plans and capture missed charges, and how to most create innovative new solutions in partnership with other major providers across the veterinary landscape.

Job type: Full-time

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a software PM, veterinary industry experience/ knowledge is a must

• Has taken multiple products or features through its full life-cycle

• Prior work experience at an early-stage startup or startup division

Location: Prefer to co-work 2x week in SF, but open to remote candidates as well

Tools (experience optional): Figma, Miro, Jira or Linear, Excel/Word/PowerPoint

Where you'll make an impact:

• Lead customer interviews & competitor/ market research to align multiple stakeholders on defining and driving product roadmap

• Work with product designer to draft wireframes & product specs

• Drive sprint planning, QA, & daily standup with developers

• Lend help with marketing & sales, including monthly travel to veterinary conference to showcase the product to customers

• Skilled communicator: Highly collaborative, clearly distill concepts and ideas in simple terms, fosters alignment quickly across various audiences with competing interests, synthesize many sources of information

• Organized: Ruthlessly keeps track of user research, product ideas and decisions, user stories, sprint progress, etc. to provide documentation and alignment across teams

• Autonomous: Highly autonomous and a versatile self-starter eager to take ownership of large features and grow with the company. Confident in your ability to execute projects from start to finish.

• Adaptable: Can jump into any function that involves product (e.g., sales, customer success, marketing), flexible to quickly adjust for shifting priorities, pivots, and rapid iteration
