The Role

Eight Sleep is looking for an experienced mobile Product Manager to join our growing Product team. The ideal candidate has shipped exceptional mobile products in high-growth start-ups, working closely with designers and engineers in fast-moving, squad-like teams. They are a power user of modern AI tools and leverage them daily to accelerate discovery, analysis, and execution. We want someone with deep product management roots, strong technical instincts, and a passion for health tech and wellness.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with machine learning engineers, sleep science researchers, designers, and mobile engineers to build smart, AI-powered, autonomous experiences that help people achieve the best sleep biologically possible. You’ll balance a bold product vision with a sharp focus on user needs, ensuring every feature creates measurable impact for our members. As one of the early AI adopters in the sleep space, Eight Sleep is training models on the world’s largest sleep dataset to power groundbreaking features in our app - and expects every member of the product team to leverage AI tools daily to move faster and smarter.

We prefer someone based out of our NYC HQ. 

What You'll Help Build

• Partner with our product researchers to gather qualitative and quantitative customer research to deeply understand customer’s sleep needs and transform that into value-add user stories and product requirements 

• Work with complex data sets and to deliver seamless experiences around sleep and recovery 

• Write stories and sprint goals that clearly communicate key objectives. Develop, refine, prioritize and track implementation of requirements and new features

• Conduct thorough QA on new app features, ensuring bug-free releases 

• Assess customer opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and make data and judgment driven trade-offs

• Design and run A/B tests to learn about customer behavior, iterate, and optimize

• Closely collaborate with and orchestrate efforts across functions and teams, including engineering, UX, analytics, research, and product marketing

• Conceptualize, scope, define, and drive projects through the product life cycle

• Communicate product details to senior management

• Work cross-functionally with customer care and marketing teams to validate, launch, support, and monitor new features

• Track and measure the success of each release, and feed those learnings back into the roadmap

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 3-5+ years of experience in mobile product management (experience with hardware IoT products a plus)

• Proven track record shipping consumer-facing apps or services with high customer satisfaction

• Experience working closely with designers, engineers, researchers, and product marketing

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to increase velocity and quality in product development workflows

• Relentless resourcefulness - ability to make big things happen with limited resources

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and prioritization in changing environments

• Comfort innovating in complex, ambiguous situations

• Genuine passion for sleep, wellness, technology, and connected devices
