About the Role

We’re seeking a Product Manager Intern to work on LiveAvatar, HeyGen’s most exciting and ambitious new product. LiveAvatar represents the next generation of interactive AI avatars and is a core strategic bet for the company.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone with sharp product instincts, strong technical understanding and exceptional execution ability. You’ll work directly with the founders and the founding LiveAvatar team, helping shape an API-first product used by developers, partners, and enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate has development experience, is fluent in technical concepts (APIs, systems, data), has strong UX intuition, and can move quickly between strategy and execution. This role offers meaningful ownership, deep exposure to real-world product building, and a clear pathway to a full-time role for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Iterate on the LiveAvatar Web Product- Help define, ship, and refine core web experiences for LiveAvatar, working closely with design and engineering to improve usability, reliability, and overall product quality.

• Improve Developer Experience for API Products- Work on API-first product flows, documentation, onboarding, and tooling to make it easier for developers and partners to build with LiveAvatar.

• Identify Core Problems Using Data- Analyze qualitative feedback and quantitative data to surface product gaps, usability issues, and growth opportunities.

• Engage with Customers and Developers- Conduct customer and partner conversations to understand real-world use cases and technical issues, translate insights into actionable product improvements.

• Support Product Initiatives End-to-End- Assist with defining goals, writing specs, creating mockups or flows, and coordinating cross-functional execution.

• Stay Market- and Tech-Savvy- Track industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies in AI, APIs, and developer platforms.

Requirements

• Recent graduate or in final term of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Business, or a related field

• Fluent technically in discussing APIs, system behavior, data flows, and technical trade-offs

• Strong data skills and the ability to reason from metrics and user behavior

• Good UX sense, especially for developer-facing and technical products

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and founders

• Fast learner who can pick up new tools, systems, and domains with minimal guidance

• Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Bonus Points

• Prior experience building or working with API products, developer tools, or platforms

• Experience triaging bugs or technical issues with engineers

• Familiarity with AI products, SDKs, or integrations

• Experience working in a startup or zero-to-one product environment
