Product Manager, Industrial Automation Tooling

Role

In the role of Product Manager for Automation Experiences, you will be responsible for defining the essential user journeys that transition automation solutions from development to full-scale production. You will collaborate closely with solution developers and their end-user clients, necessitating roughly 10% travel, to identify and address the practical difficulties of deploying, managing, and maintaining these systems. Your insights will be instrumental in refining our software product experiences. How your work moves the mission forward

• Partner with Solution Builders and their end-user clients to gain insights into the requirements and obstacles associated with transferring, operating, maintaining, and debugging automation solutions.

• Work together with design and user research teams to construct a compelling, lucid strategy for integrating these user journeys into Intrinsic Platform tools and experiences.

• Maintain a rigorous focus on the user throughout the development of these journeys by providing engineering teams with detailed requirement specifications and impactful storytelling.

Skills you will need to be successful

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, ideally automation, or equivalent industry experience.

• Proven ability to interpret user needs as technical specifications, maintaining a strong focus on the user while integrating these into comprehensive concepts and journeys.

• Proven collaboration with Engineering squads to deliver on the product vision.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex needs and challenges and drive effective solutions with curiosity.

• Integrity that fosters a culture of trust across product, business, and engineering.

• Outstanding communication skills, both with customers and with peers in English.

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

• Experience in software engineering, SaaS, industrial automation and/or Robotics

• Familiarity with digital factory concepts along the automation pyramid (ERP, MES, SCADA/PLCs) and SaaS offerings around those.

• Experience with automation solutions and their operation in production environments.

• Willingness to explore new paths based on a solid understanding of state-of-the-art automation technologies and SaaS products.

• User-centric product management: Skilled in working with external stakeholders to uncover pain points and opportunities for new approaches.

• Ability to engage in technical conversations in German.
