Product Manager - Energy Flexibility Markets

Flexcity currently operates a 3GW portfolio of diverse assets, including batteries, renewable energy sources, industrial processes (such as electrolysers), and power-to-heat solutions like eBoilers.   To continue our growth, Flexcity is building and improving our Platform, which allows us to connect with assets, operate them and optimise them seamlessly on all short-term electricity markets.

As a Product Manager, you will focus on developing our platform, enabling new valorisation services that can be used by our asset owners to get the most out of their flex. 

 

You will be part of the Product Team and the Market Feature Team. The Market Feature Team is a cross-functional team that includes developers. The goal of the Market Feature Team is to make sure our diverse portfolio of assets can be realised 

 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with other Product Managers, Developers and Portfolio Managers across Flexcity and external parties. Your responsibilities will include:

 

Product Development - 50%

• Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company strategy and market needs

• Define and maintain product requirements for (i) new grid services or valorisation access and (ii) platform improvements to make it scalable

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery and technical feasibility

• Coordinate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive user experiences for internal tools and clients

 

Product Discovery  25 %

• Build deep knowledge of the business, industry  data and customers

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis in the energy technology space, including new valorisation vectors such as Intra-day, congestion, and SaaS solutions

 

Project Implementation 25 % 

• Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle

• Manage product launches and interact with clients/partners 

• Monitor project timelines and milestones

• Share expertise on flexibility cross teams

 

• Fluent in English, French or Dutch being a strong plus

• Rigour and analytical skills

• Product management expertise

 

• Team player with a “can do”- mentality
