The Role

As an Engineering Manager at Unifize, you will be at the forefront of driving our engineering team forward to deliver on our goals as a company. You will be reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.

This role is designed for a passionate, proactive individual who is eager to dive deep into an engineering leadership role and help innovate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a structured team of 15 developers based in Bangalore.
• Work with Product Management to plan releases and oversees the implementation by the development team.
• Resource allocation and balancing
• Implement and tracks development deadlines
• Negotiate feature sets with the product teams
• Identify and manage issues and risk throughout the product development lifecycle
• Help define and enforce development methodology and process
• Drive the testing process
• Maintain cross-department communication with key company stakeholders including customer support and customer success.
• Full people management responsibility, including hiring, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development for the overall department

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects that were released for public consumption
• Has public open source contributions or blog posts
• Experience in developing/managing scalable web/mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of databases and deep depth in anyone of the following programming languages : Python, Golang, Clojure, Java.
• Agile, proactive, comfortable working with high level specifications and can prioritise on the fly
• B.Tech/B.E. or higher degree in Computer Science
