Product & Engineering Excellence Manager

We are seeking a Product & Engineering Excellence Manager to join our Tech Enablement team.
This role will be responsible for managing company wide initiatives within Tech which spans across Engineering, Product & UX.

Tech Enablement team

As a cross-functional group at Adyen, the Tech Enablement team brings Engineering, Product, and UX together. Our mission is to help teams work better, smarter, and more collaboratively by introducing shared practices that reduce friction and enable scalable, accountable ways of working across our global Tech Hubs.

We operate as strategic enablers, driving coherence and shared accountability across Engineering, Product, and UX. Our initiatives across Tech focus on three key areas: supporting Tech Strategic Themes, establishing Adyen's unique "Rituals" (ways of working), and advancing Business & Product Priorities.

We accelerate how the entire Tech Organization delivers value by boosting speed, efficiency, and quality within our Solution teams and with partner functions. Born from the rapid growth of Adyen's Product portfolio and Engineering teams, we address the complexity of managing multiple products across six Solution Groups. Our goal is to implement foundational support to drive greater efficiency and deliver customer value at scale, aligning with Adyen’s ambitious growth.

What you’ll do:

• Lead programs that enhance the overall efficiency, collaboration, and scalability of our Tech organisation - across our global Tech Hubs, by empowering teams to deliver value at scale.

• Streamline the product development cycle by establishing and iterating on shared practices, governance models (e.g., for architecture reviews), and innovative ways of working.

• Strategically align Tech efforts with our broader Tech Strategic Themes, Adyen's unique "Rituals", and key Business & Product Priorities.

• Build and refine the operational backbone that enables seamless collaboration between Engineering, Product, and UX teams, empowering them to deliver customer value at scale.

• Identify opportunities for seamless collaboration among Tech.

• Manage ambiguity in our entrepreneurial environment, proactively defining a clear vision for optimizing our tech organization to best support the business.

Who you are:

You are a seasoned leader who thrives at the intersection of strategic vision and technical execution, ready to step into a high-impact role driving organizational efficiency across our global technology landscape.

• 10+ Years of Experience in high-growth, complex technical environments.

• Engineering & Product Acumen: You possess strong credibility from a background in Engineering or Product Management, allowing you to deeply understand development processes and best practices.

• Technical Foundations: You possess deep technical fluency and are comfortable challenging and contributing to discussions around system architecture, design patterns, complex APIs, distributed systems, and scalability.

• Proactive Strategic Problem Solver: You leverage insights to independently identify fundamental organizational or technical problems, then craft and implement effective, structural strategies that move beyond current ways of working and foster truly innovative solutions.

• Program Leadership: You have a proven ability to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives, coordinating distributed teams and navigating organizational ambiguity under pressure.

• Collaborative Influence: You excel at navigating matrixed environments, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and influencing decision-making without direct authority.

• Exceptional Communicator: You tailor verbal, written, and visual artifacts expertly to diverse audiences, from junior engineers to senior executive leaders.

• Detail-Oriented & Translative: You can fluidly move between technical specifics and clearly translate complex architectural concepts for non-technical stakeholders (Product, Finance, etc.).
