About The Role

As a Product Engineer, you will be joining our lean and high-velocity AI prototyping pod within CapIntel. You'll build product experiences that our customers and users love. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you’ll adopt and apply the latest techniques in artificial intelligence to turn CapIntel into a true vertical AI-enabled SaaS play.

This role works cross-functionally across design, product, and engineering to rapidly prototype and ship magical experiences, You'll work with people who are not only technically excellent but who care deeply about delivering something outstanding – contributing to and leading a culture that moves with urgency.

What You’ll Do

• Design, prototype & launch AI-powered products that solve real user problems - from early concepts to scaled features

• Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate ideas quickly, and iterate based on real feedback

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to take features from idea to production at startup speed, embedding with core engineering teams as validated features get shipped to prod

• Navigate ambiguity to define what to build when the path forward isn't clear

• Stay on top of research and identify opportunities to ship magic to users

• Keep systems fast and reliable under real-world usage

What We're Looking For

• 2-3+ years in full-stack development building products that people love, with demonstrated experience taking ideas from zero to one

• Track record of shipping quickly while maintaining quality - you know when to move fast and when to be thorough

• Thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments where requirements shift and customer feedback drives decisions

• Strong sense of product taste paired with deep customer empathy

• Outstanding communication skills; capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse audience

Preferred Qualifications

• Excited about all things AI

• Strong ML/LLM knowledge

• Experience with evals

• History of direct customer engagement and interactions

• Experience in SaaS & complex workflow products

Your final offer will reflect your experience, skillset, and location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified.

Compensation at CapIntel goes beyond base pay. Depending on the role, total rewards may include variable pay, equity, comprehensive benefits, flexible time off, and dedicated opportunities for growth and development.

For roles based in or eligible to work from Ontario, the expected base salary range is:
$100,000—$125,000 CAD
