Job Description
We are looking for a new PD Engineer to join our team in Nyíregyháza, Hungary!
• Product development of mainly rubber expansion joints according to customer specifications and QM manual based on platform definition.
• Execution of development projects from feasibility assessment through to introduction in series production acc. to PLC.
• Responsibility for the specification of prototypes and customer samples in cooperation with other specialist departments.
• Development of test concepts according to customer/market/quality requirements
(Creation of design verification plans, initiation and tracking of tests, evaluation of test results.)
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support of other departments and customers with technical consulting and product expertise.
• Support of the QM/QV with product expertise in the technical diagnosis of complaints, if necessary.
• Support of product industrialization in product/process changes and product-specific issues.
• Support analysis of competitor products.
• Support in the technical assessment of suggestions for improvement
• Contribution of innovative ideas regarding new systems and solutions as well as cooperation in innovation projects
• Participation in projects and on internal and cross-departmental special topics.
• Initiation and follow-up of patent analyses and own ideas for patent applications.
• Completed studies in the field of engineering (FH, university, Bachelor, Master's degree), automotive engineering, rubber technology or comparable field of study.
• Several years of professional experience and experience in technical customer support.
• Basic material and production knowledge in the rubber sector.
• Good knowledge of project management.
• Good knowledge of MS office and SAP required.
CAD (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, or similar) desirable.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), German desirable.
• Independent way of working, ability to prioritize and master complex tasks.
• Entrepreneurial thinking: customer focus, result orientation, negotiation skills and decisiveness.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
