Job Description
We are looking for a team member to be a part of the State Street Digital Center of Excellence (COE) helping drive innovative solutions for providing digital asset accounting services. Members of the Digital COE work with internal business teams including enterprise risk management, legal, product and technology while being a liaison with State Street clients and third party vendors. Responsibilities will be focused on fund accounting processes pertaining to digital assets initially in the alternatives and ETF space. Tasks will include the documentation of business needs/requirements by working directly with global delivery teams, creating workable concepts and follow through on the enhancement of operational workflows. The right candidate has a deep appreciation of the intersection where traditional financial services meet digital assets with the ability to identify value propositions for accounting products. This role will require in-depth knowledge of financial accounting platforms, third party digital asset data solutions and the roles operational teams provide for accounting administration services to clients.
Hybrid accounting and product management responsibilities include:
Accounting
• Assist with implementation of accounting policies and procedures for the tracking, valuation and reporting of digital assets
• Ensure compliance procedures up to date for adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices for digital asset accounting
• Conduct reporting, quarterly metrics and other analysis for risk management and performance monitoring
Product Management
• Act as a dedicated resource for POCs for new subproduct types, vendor products, internal enhancements & product crossover integration
• Engage with State Streets business teams and clients/prospects to assess servicing complexity while evaluating interest in new technologies to propose solutions based on these interactions
• Work with business and product to assess service solutions focusing on fund administration of crypto currencies including identifying and validating value propositions from third party vendors
• Raising business functional requirements and working with technology teams to outline development work including assisting with roadmaps where clear achievable milestones and realistic success criteria can be defined
Qualifications and experience
Required
• Significant experience 5+ years in client workflow and back/middle office products, fund accounting and administration using accounting platforms- experience with Geneva a plus.
• Prior experience 3+ years with digital asset market data providers, DAR, Coinmetrics and Lukka a plus
• Deep understanding of trade flow processes in alternative markets and crypto currency markets
• Experience in helping build innovative products from ideation through design and development using an agile framework
• Experience in business development and client engagement with a track record of results and execution
• Demonstrated ability to showcase structured thinking and problem solving
• Excellent presentation, communications, and influencing skills
Preferred
• Proven ability to build relationships with internal partners and stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial attitude, with experience in fintech or fast-paced corporate environments a plus
