This role requires relocation to Dubai.

Role Summary

As a Product Developer & Garment Technologist, you will own the technical development process from initial concept through to final production. Working closely with Design, Sourcing, and Merchandising, you will ensure each product delivers exceptional fit, functionality, and quality in line with our brand standards.

This role requires expertise in garment construction, fabric performance, trouble shooting and activewear innovation, along with a deep understanding of the athlete’s needs. You will play a key role in translating creative concepts into high-performance garments by applying your technical knowledge across materials, construction, fit, and testing. You will be hands-on in the technical quality process, assisting with specification creation, quality checks, production issue resolution, and fabric and garment testing throughout development.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in fit sessions, providing clear, actionable technical feedback to factories and pattern makers, while supporting detailed fit evaluation and adjustment decisions and documenting fit logs and graded specification updates for suppliers and internal teams.

Review and approve prototypes and pre-production samples, ensuring alignment with tech packs, fit standards, and construction requirements.

Identify, analyze, and resolve construction, fit, or performance issues throughout the development lifecycle.

Manage garment blocks and construction standards.

Draft and adjust patterns manually or via CAD.

Ensure consistency across fits, blocks, sizing, and grading standards.

Produce and maintain technical specification documents and production instructions to communicate construction requirements clearly to factories and internal stakeholders.

Organize and manage wearer trials to validate comfort, durability, and performance, evaluate results and drive corrective actions for construction or material issues.

Collaborate closely with Design from the concept phase, advising on fabrics, construction techniques, and trims.

Ensure products meet internal and external testing standards, reviewing fabric and garment test reports.

Stay closely connected to fitness culture, maintaining a hands-on understanding of performance apparel and athlete needs.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in product development alongside garment technology, preferably within activewear or performance apparel.

Demonstrated ability to work closely on technical troubleshooting and supplier communication to resolve construction and quality issues.

Strong understanding of quality control protocols, testing standards, and garment performance evaluation.

Knowledge of garment construction, fit, fabric performance, and production processes.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems.

Proven experience in fitting sessions and working cross-functionally with Design, Sourcing, and Merchandising.

Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Genuine passion for training and fitness, ideally with hands-on experience using performance apparel.

Ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities while maintaining technical accuracy and innovation.
