Product Developer Denim - H&M Divided

We’re looking for a Product Developer with a strategic mindset, a strong passion for denim and fashion, and a collaborative way of working to join our Divided Denim team at H&M Womenswear.  

This is a 1-year temporary position with placement in Stockholm, Sweden.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO​ 

In this role as a Product Developer for H&M Divided Denim, you will play an important part in shaping a modern and relevant denim assortment for our global customer. You will define and execute both short- and long-term strategies for your denim category, ensuring strong alignment with our overall assortment goals. With your fashion insight, commercial thinking and deep understanding of denim trends, fabrics, fits and washes, you will drive seasonal keys, identify emerging opportunities and translate insights into desirable and well-crafted denim pieces. You will continuously refine our denim product and component strategy to support growth and profitability. 

You will take ownership of moving initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless execution and effective collaboration across the team. You will work closely with a product manager, planner and designer, and you will collaborate cross functionally across the business. You will also work directly with production teams and suppliers throughout the development process to secure fit, quality, sustainability and expression, which are all key pillars within denim. 

With your passion for denim and product development, you will be essential in creating world class pieces that are on trend, expressive and truly resonate with H&M Divided customers. 

 

WHO YOU ARE​ 

To succeed in this role, we believe you have: 

• Five years of experience in a similar role as Product Developer or Buyer 
• Education in textiles, buying or product development 
• Proven track record in creating denim products for the womenswear customer, with a strong sense of fashion and refined taste 
• Excellent insight into current fashion trends and the ability to translate them into desirable and commercially relevant denim pieces 
• Deep passion for product and product development, with a strong interest in denim design, construction, fits, fabrics and washes 
• Extensive material knowledge related to denim, including cotton qualities, blends, weave types, treatments, finishes and wash techniques 
• Driven, structured and proactive in taking initiative 
• Commercial mindset with a results oriented approach 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams 
• Strong ability to identify opportunities, improvements and efficient solutions across the denim development process
