Job Description
Product Designer (Web Platform)
Location: Remote (LATAM)
Type: Full-time Contract (40 hrs/week)
Timezone: U.S. overlap required
Overview
We’re partnering with a U.S.-based public technology company to expand an existing mobile product into a scalable web platform.
This role is focused on rebuilding a mobile-first experience for web, designing complex user workflows, and establishing a scalable design system that supports long-term product growth.
You’ll work closely with product and engineering to shape how users interact with a data-driven product across platforms.
This role is NOT focused on:
• Marketing or landing page design
• Visual-only/UI-only work
• Research-only UX roles
What You’ll Own
• Reimagine a native iOS product for a fully responsive web experience
• Design end-to-end product experiences (flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototypes)
• Create and evolve a scalable design system for web
• Redesign workflows to support increased information density and desktop behaviors
• Ensure consistency across mobile and web experiences
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers in an agile environment
• Contribute to UX strategy, product decisions, and feature prioritization
What We’re Looking For – Core Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer (not just UX or UI)
• Strong experience designing web applications (SaaS, dashboards, internal tools)
• Proven ability to design complex workflows and data-heavy interfaces
• Experience building or contributing to design systems
• Strong portfolio showing:
• End-to-end product design work
• Clear problem → process → solution
• Web-based projects (not just mobile or marketing sites)
• We are looking for designers who think in systems and can clearly articulate their design decisions, not just present final visuals.
Must-Have
• Experience translating mobile-first products into web platforms
• Ability to adapt UX patterns across devices (navigation, layout, interactions)
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-platform consistency
• Tools & Collaboration
• Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto layout, design systems)
• Experience working closely with engineering teams
• Familiarity with tools like Jira or similar
Nice to Have
• Experience with B2B or SaaS products
• Experience with data-heavy or workflow-driven applications
• Previous experience working with U.S.-based or distributed teams
What Success Looks Like
• You can take a mobile experience and reimagine it effectively for web
• You design with both UX clarity and strong UI polish
• You think in systems, not just screens
• You create work that engineers can build efficiently and consistently
• Important Note on Portfolio
• Candidates must include a portfolio with:
• Complete case studies (not just visual samples)
• Web application work (SaaS, dashboards, or internal tools)
• Clear explanation of: your role, Design decisions, User flows and outcomes
• Portfolios with only screenshots, limited visuals, or restricted access will not be considered.
Why This Role
• High ownership over a core product transformation (mobile → web)
• Opportunity to define design systems and UX direction
