Position Summary

As a Product Designer at FlexCar, you will lead end-to-end design work that turns product goals and user needs into clear, elegant, and highly functional experiences across mobile and web. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to explore problems, validate solutions, and ship design that is usable, scalable, and measurable.

You’ll join a team building products that support both customer-facing journeys and internal operational tools, with a strong emphasis on clarity, speed, and real-world impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the design process from discovery to delivery: research → flows → wireframes → prototypes → final UI.
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand requirements, define problems, and shape solution strategy.
• Plan and conduct user research (interviews, field studies, surveys) and usability testing; synthesize insights into actionable design decisions.
• Design user flows, IA, interaction patterns, and UI for responsive web and native mobile (iOS/Android) experiences.
• Create high-fidelity mockups and production-ready specs that engineers can build with confidence.
• Contribute to and evolve a design system (components, patterns, guidelines) with attention to design tokens/variables where applicable.
• Use data and feedback to continuously iterate and improve usability, conversion, and task success.
• Communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; facilitate alignment and decision-making.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in Product Design / UI/UX Design, with a portfolio demonstrating user-centered, shippable work.
• Strong craft in UI design (layout, hierarchy, typography) and interaction design (flows, states, edge cases).
• Proficiency with Figma (components, auto layout, prototyping).
• Practical experience with research and usability testing methods, and using insights to iterate designs.
• Experience designing responsive web and/or native mobile interfaces with attention to platform patterns.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, including clear specs, handoff, and iteration during implementation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable presenting work and incorporating feedback.
