Product Designer (Mobile Application)

Kyivstar.Tech is looking for a Product Designer to join our dynamic product team. In this role, you will contribute to creating Kyivstar’s innovative new mobile applications. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Product Designer to lead the design efforts for our innovative mobile applications, empowering users with seamless and engaging experiences.

What you will do:
• Conduct in-depth research to understand user needs, workflows, and pain points specific to mobile applications, driving user-centric design solutions.

• Map and analyze user journeys to identify opportunities for improving mobile app workflows and interfaces.

• Collaborate as a key member of the product team with Product Management and Development to align design activities with product strategy, ensuring seamless integration of mobile app functionalities.

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily standups to maintain alignment and ensure timely execution of design tasks.

• Conceptualize and design wireframes, user flows, and process diagrams tailored to mobile app-specific user scenarios.

• Create interactive prototypes to visualize and validate design ideas, iterating based on stakeholder feedback and usability testing results.

• Conduct usability tests tailored to mobile app users, gathering actionable insights to refine features and improve the overall user experience.

• Lead the visual design process for mobile app interfaces, including onboarding, navigation flows, and feature interactions, ensuring consistency with Kyivstar.Tech’s design standards.

• Develop and advocate for mobile app-specific design guidelines, best practices, and usability standards to improve user satisfaction and adoption.

• Leverage analytics to measure the effectiveness of mobile app design features post-implementation and continuously refine designs based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications and experience needed:
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years in UX/UI design with a focus on mobile applications.

• Design Expertise: Proficient in Human-Centered Design and Service Design methodologies, with a proven ability to balance user needs with business goals.

• Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing mobile app designs or similar complex workflows, including navigation flows, interactive features, and user interfaces.

• Technical Skills: Mastery of design tools like Figma or Sketch, experience with prototyping tools. Familiarity with paper prototyping is a plus.

• Knowledge of Mobile UI Guidelines: Familiarity with platform-specific UI guidelines for iOS and Android, ensuring compliance with design standards and optimal user experiences.

• Understanding Principles of Mobile App Development: Awareness of the technical constraints and opportunities in mobile app development to create designs that are both feasible and innovative.

• Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

• Communication Skills: Strong written and spoken Ukrainian and English (Intermediate level or above).

• Customer Development: Familiarity with customer research methodologies and an ability to translate findings into actionable design improvements.
