Purpose of Position

The Product Designer – AI Learning Experiences is part of our RISE Next Generation AI initiative, focused on designing and rapidly building learner-facing applications within our PEAK platform.

PEAK is a data-informed system that enables adaptive, personalized learning based on real insights. The tools you build will be integrated into this ecosystem to support neurodivergent learners in engaging, effective ways.

This is a fast-paced, experiment-driven role at the intersection of design and development. You’ll work with a small, high-trust team to turn ideas into prototypes, test them in real contexts, and iterate quickly based on feedback.

In this role, you will:

Design and build interactive prototypes end-to-end

Create intuitive, neuro-affirming user experiences

Collaborate with educators to ground designs in real needs

Work with engineering to integrate backend logic

Use AI tools to accelerate prototyping and iteration

You’ll contribute to real tools used in educational settings, within a platform that is rapidly evolving in scope and impact.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

Design and build interactive, learner-facing prototypes end-to-end

Rapidly translate concepts into testable applications and experiences

Apply UX principles with a strong focus on accessibility and neuroaffirming design

Iterate quickly based on feedback, usage, and observation

Work closely with engineering to connect prototypes with backend systems and data

Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate design and development workflows

Explore new formats (e.g., game-like interfaces, adaptive experiences, interactive tools)

What you might build

As part of this role, you will explore and prototype a wide range of learner-facing tools. Examples include:

A game-like interface that adapts reading or math difficulty in real time based on learner progress

An interactive tool that visualizes learning patterns and supports metacognitive awareness

A guided exercise system that responds dynamically to student input and engagement

A lightweight mobile experience that supports practice and reinforcement outside of sessions

Experimental interfaces that explore new ways of interacting with AI in an educational context

These are not static products - they are prototypes designed to test ideas, generate insight, and evolve into impactful tools within the PEAK ecosystem.

Frontend development experience aligned with modern web stacks (e.g., React/Next.js, or similar frameworks used in production systems)

Experience building interactive or game-like user experiences

Experience designing for neurodivergent users or in educational contexts
