About the team

The Frameworks & Tools team in the Product Assurance group is the Team responsible for providing and maintaining the framework and tools that support core business processes of Satellogic, 

Frameworks & Tools is the department within Product Assurance that standardizes software project-related governance processes and facilitates the sharing of resources, methodologies, tools and techniques.

The Frameworks & Tools team is responsible for the whole life cycle of software solutions that will support the company objectives. It includes requirements gathering, product selection or design and development, IT project management, implementation, administration and support for these solutions, and a continuous improvement cycle for the tools and processes used.

In Satellogic, the technology development process is cyclical and continuous. The Team must contribute to producing in big quantities high reliable Satellites and Subassemblies. The Team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.

About the position

As a software applications developer you will be part of the Framework and Tools teams in the Product Assurance group. You will participate in the definition of requirements, design and development, selection, implementation, validation and support of software systems and solutions, as needed.

Responsibilities :

Gather, analyze and document user and business requirements.

Interact with the process area to identify work frameworks, understand them and define the best tools to support them. Suggest improvements and innovations to these frameworks.

Interact with third-party vendors, developers, and implementers.

Design and develop applications and maintain legacy applications.

Perform quality assurance activities along the software lifecycle process.

Interact with technology and infrastructure providers and groups..

Manage software solutions in production, including functional problems resolution.

Generate documents, instructions and manuals.

Training and support of users in the use of software solutions.

In this position you will have the opportunity to interact with people of all company departments in order to have a high level view of the business and its needs, in order to propose and implement the best corporate solutions, and support users from different areas with different mindsets and concerns, and you will have the responsibility of prioritizing their needs to make the best use of the company resources.

Based on your previous experience, you will propose good practices and innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our software solutions, and contribute to the company's Digital Transformation process.

The preferred location is Montevideo.

About you 

Experience

Degree or equivalent proved working experience in Information technology, System Analyst, Software Programmer or Software Engineer.

At least 3 years of experience in complex project maintenance, software design, development, integration and validation.

Experience in process definition, digital transformation and software solutions evaluation.

We value working experience with business solutions (ERP, PLM, MES and others).

Skills

Knowledge of programming languages, database usage, design and administration, and SQL language. Python, ASP.net, C#, SQL Server, Influx and/or big data technologies knowledge is an asset.

Versioning systems knowledge (GitLab).

Capacity to learn continuously and passion for pushing the limits.We value communication skills with different technical and no technical people, orally and in writing.

Advanced English level.
