Your role at Hostinger

As the Product AI Engineering Lead at Hostinger, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the intelligence behind our next-generation products — and in growing the people who build them. You'll lead and mentor a talented team of AI engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and growth planning, ensuring both technical excellence and professional development.

In this role, you'll guide the team in building agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and other advanced AI capabilities that transform how millions of users experience the web. You'll balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to bring ideas from concept to impactful, production-ready features.

Your day-to-day:
• Lead and mentor a squad of AI engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Identify growth opportunities for team members and support their technical and professional development.
• Oversee the delivery of AI-powered product features — from prototypes to scalable, reliable production systems.
• Actively contribute to the design and implementation of AI based systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to ensure AI solutions are impactful, measurable, and aligned with business goals.
• Establish and maintain best practices in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and AI system reliability.
• Stay ahead of the curve in emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and research — ensuring the team applies the latest advancements effectively.
• Build a culture of experimentation and evidence-driven decision-making, balancing speed with long-term technical integrity.
• Define and continuously improve AI engineering processes.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building a strong AI engineering culture.

Your skills and experience:
• Proven experience leading AI or ML engineers, including performance management and technical mentorship.
• Strong, hands-on expertise in Python and modern LLM/AI frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
• Experience designing and building agentic AI systems (autonomous or tool-using agents) and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
• Solid understanding of AI system design, including model evaluation, fine-tuning, and inference optimization.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade APIs (FastAPI, Flask) and containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, version control) and how they support AI product delivery.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities and team enablement.

Compensation:
• Gross salary 5,000 to 9,000 EUR/month. Salary is offered based on work experience, competence, and compliance with other job requirements.
