Summary
This is a temporary one-year position.
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to strengthen our Proximus Global Procurement team.
In this role, you will support and manage procurement activities across multiple regions and business units, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. You will be involved in contract renewals, new supplier onboarding, and negotiations, while ensuring alignment with internal governance, business strategy, and costefficiency objectives.
This position is wellsuited for a procurement professional with up to 5 years of experience who wants to grow in an international environment, develop negotiation skills, and contribute directly to cost optimization while maintaining high service quality for internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Contract Management
• Support and manage contract renewals, extensions, and new contracts for goods and services
• Participate in and lead commercial negotiations with suppliers (pricing, terms & conditions, service levels)
• Coordinate procurement activities from request to contract signature, in collaboration with Legal, Internal Customer and Finance
• Ensure contracts are aligned with Proximus Global procurement policy and governance
Stakeholder Management
• Act as a trusted procurement partner for internal stakeholders across different countries and teams
• Understand business needs and translate them into appropriate sourcing and contracting solutions
• Balance cost optimization with quality, risk management, and business continuity
Supplier Management
• Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers
• Support supplier performance followup and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure suppliers comply with contractual, financial, and governance requirements
Cost Control & Value Creation
• Proactively identify costsaving opportunities and commercial improvements
• Support grouplevel synergies and standardization initiatives where relevant
Governance & Process
• Apply and respect procurement processes, approval flows, and delegation rules
Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement ways of working
Essential Requirements
• 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or a related role
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Legal or similar
• First experience in an international or multi‑stakeholder environment is a strong plus
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office
• Experience with procurement or ERP tools is a plus (but not required)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working with multiple priorities and different business cultures
• Analytical mindset with an interest in cost optimization and commercial value
• Good understanding of contracts and procurement governance
• Well organized, reliable, and able to work autonomously with guidance from senior colleagues
