The Role
The Procurement Officer is responsible for executing day-to-day procurement and contract administration activities of the program, following established procedures, manuals, templates, and guidelines. The role also supports senior team members in tasks related to the procurement of high-value goods, works, and services, while leveraging digital tools and AI-driven capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Support the process for selecting new suppliers;
Compose quotes and conduct brief negotiations to ensure best pricing;
Manage purchases and monitor stock levels;
Negotiate terms of agreements;
Conduct new business contracts and manage supplier payments;
Ensure all procedural steps are followed in line with internal policies;
Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports;
Inform suppliers and internal stakeholders about the procurement process;
Utilize AI-powered tools to streamline supplier screening, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance data accuracy and decision-making across procurement activities.
