Your role at Baxter
The Sr Procurement Manager Healthcare leads plant/region sourcing strategy and strategic supplier relationship management, including contract negotiation/development, price change approvals, business continuity and critical issues. Defines preferred suppliers in partnership with Central and ensures delivery of savings MIP, risk mitigation, dual‑source strategy, and payment terms execution.
What you'll be doing
• Launch and manage RFPs/RFQs, benchmarking and award recommendations.
• Execute MIP initiatives and track milestones, savings and validation with Finance.
• Drive business awarding and related contractual actions.
• Coordinate tooling and maintenance repairs per Baxter tools budget process.
• Manage supplier performance: delivery, quality and service metrics; corrective actions.
• Support operational continuity and handle escalations with the Sr Procurement Manager.
What you'll need
• Strong project management and organization; ability to handle multiple engagements.
• Analytical capability for bid tab, TCO and business case preparation.
• Knowledge of contracts and RFP processes; solid tactical negotiation skills.
• Experience with global ERP (preferably SAP) and advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPSM/Lean Six Sigma certification desired.
• Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field (required).
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing with RFP execution and awards.
• Proven success delivering savings and service improvement year over year.
