Overview of the Role
The Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement process at VBP, ensuring the organization acquires the right goods and services at the best possible price while maintaining quality and compliance. This role will involve strategic sourcing, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
Main duties include:
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with VBP's business objectives and financial goals.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and management.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, maintaining a database of preferred vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance, troubleshoot issues, and foster strong working relationships.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
• Lead procurement projects, optimizing processes and implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement needs and specifications.
• Provide training and support to team members on procurement policies and practices.
• Analyze procurement data to inform decision-making and improve purchasing processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• PEZA processing on asset management is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Experience in developing procurement strategies and sourcing plans.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in procurement.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on process improvement.
