We are looking for Procurement Engineering / Supplier Transition with 8-12 years of experience.
Job description- Responsible for executing and closing supplier qualification activities through detailed engineering reviews, first article (FA) execution, and documentation compliance. Acts as a key interface between suppliers, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure timely supplier qualification and readiness.
Must-Have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Mechanical / Electrical / Plastics / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering)
• Experience in supplier qualification and engineering review activities
• Hands-on experience completing CQP (Component Quality Plan) and CQR (Component Quality Report)
• Strong knowledge of First Article (FA) planning, tracking, and execution at supplier locations
• Ability to analyze FA documentation and perform fit, form, and function testing
• Experience managing engineering changes required to complete supplier qualification
• Strong communication skills for supplier coordination using standardized letters and emails
• Ability to follow up and close incomplete, incorrect, or missing supplier documentation
• Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Proven experience working as an interface between suppliers and customer plant teams including sourcing, quality, and inspection
• Hands-on experience in PPAP planning and execution as per Customer Quality Procedures (CQP)
• Strong knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) at supplier facilities or remotely
• Experience in Supplier Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) management
• Ability to manage Product Deviation Notices (PDN) and drive closure with suppliers
• Exposure to Supplier Process Audits and audit report documentation
• Basic working knowledge of GD&T, materials, and engineering drawing interpretation
• Experience in inspection plan preparation from drawings
• Working knowledge of ASTM and equivalent Asian standards
• Experience in ECN (Engineering Change Notice) management
• Strong analytical capability to track, report, and interpret supplier quality KPIs
• Experience handling components such as Sheet Metal, Machined Parts, Plastics, Rubber, Electrical / Electro-Mechanical parts
• Ability to escalate unresolved supplier quality issues within project timelines
• Strong stakeholder interaction skills with Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations teams
Good-to-Have
• Experience in regulated manufacturing or life sciences industry
• Exposure to procurement engineering and production buying operations
• Familiarity with supplier contract terms and transition documentation
• Experience supporting ERP transitions or system updates
• Experience in alternate supplier identification and qualification
• Exposure to automotive / industrial / manufacturing quality standards
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP documentation, and qualification reports
• Familiarity with quality KPI dashboards and large-scale data handling
• Experience supporting new product development (NPD) projects

Complete and maintain CQP and CQR documentation as per customer requirements
Perform detailed engineering reviews with suppliers to address design and process gaps
Track First Article (FA) completion status at supplier sites
Manage required design changes to enable successful supplier qualification
Manage FA deliveries, analyze FA documentation, and perform fit, form, and function testing
Communicate with suppliers using standardized letters and emails to request conformance certificates for packaging and hazardous substances
Follow up with suppliers to close incomplete, incorrect, or missing qualification documentation
Coordinate closely with procurement, engineering, and quality stakeholders to ensure timely qualification closure
