Position Summary:
The Procurement Engineer – Buyer (C&I – Power Burners) will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) and associated mechanical/electrical equipment for international power burner projects.
The role requires strong techno-commercial acumen, vendor management expertise, and the ability to coordinate with global stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Pre-Bid & Proposal Support::
• Provide procurement inputs during bidding stage.
• Identify potential vendors and obtain budgetary quotations.
• Review specifications and highlight long-lead items.
• Support estimation team with cost optimization strategies.

• Vibration Sensors
Mechanical & Skid Equipment Procurement::
• Oil Pumping Unit Skid Assemblies
• Furnace Oil Skid Assemblies
• Manual & Motorized Valves (Ball, Gate, Globe, Check, Butterfly)
• Strainers
• Associated piping and fittings
Electrical & Auxiliary Procurement::
• Instrument fittings
• Illumination fittings
• Lighting panels
• Transformers
• Cables & Cable trays
• Junction Boxes
Supply Chain & Commercial Management::
• Preparation and issuance of RFQs.
• Techno-commercial bid evaluation.
• Vendor selection based on technical compliance and commercial viability.
• Negotiation of:
• Scope of supply
• Payment terms
• Warranty conditions
• Performance Bank Guarantees (PBG)
• Liquidated Damages (LD)
• Delivery schedules and Incoterms
• Purchase Order preparation and release.
• Global sourcing and rate negotiations (domestic & international).
Post-Order Execution & Coordination::
• Material planning and procurement scheduling.
• Coordination with Engineering, Project Management, and QA/QC teams.
• Monitoring manufacturing progress and expediting.
• Collection and review of vendor documentation (GA drawings, datasheets, QAPs, test certificates).
• Coordination with Third-Party Inspection agencies.
• Management of post-order changes.
• Support site teams for delivery and issue resolution.
Vendor Development & Performance Improvement::
• Identify and onboard alternate vendors to ensure competitive sourcing.
• Maintain and update Approved Vendor List (AVL).
• Drive supplier performance improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Build long-term strategic supplier relationships globally.
Required Skills & Competencies::
• Strong understanding of C&I systems for Power Burner applications preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / Power / Refinery EPC projects.
• Knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, IEC preferred).
• Strong negotiation and contract finalization skills.
• Experience working with global stakeholders across time zones.
• ERP knowledge (Sage X3 preferred).
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile::
• 6–12 years of procurement experience in EPC/OEM environment.
• Instrumentation engineering background strongly preferred.
• Experience handling international project procurement.
• Proven record of cost savings and on-time delivery performance.
• Ability to manage multiple packages simultaneously in a fast-paced project environment.
