Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €29.8 Billion international wholesaler with operations in 32 countries through 625 stores & a team of 91,000 people globally. Metro operates in a further 10 countries with its Food Service Distribution (FSD) business and it is thus active in a total of 34 countries.

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. We are setting tomorrow’s standards for customer focus, digital solutions, and sustainable business models. For over 10 years, we have been providing services and solutions from our two locations in Pune and Szczecin. Preferred Work Experience - 

• Minimum 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.
• Hands-on experience in SQL, Python scripting, and VBA development.
• Experience in developing Python scripts from scratch and modifying existing scripts as per business requirements.
• Experience in data extraction, transformation and visualization tools such as QlikView, Google Cloud Platform, MicroStrategy.
• Familiarity with extraction of data (ETL), validation of data, and reporting of data as per the business requirements.
• Strong experience in understanding business requirements and documenting those requirements to ensure expected delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timely data reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with internal teams and business leaders.
• Experience in process optimization, automation, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to mentor junior analysts and drive knowledge-sharing within the team.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field (e.g., B.Sc (IT), MCA, B.Tech, B.Sc (CS)).
• Strong academic background in data analytics, database management is preferred.

Required Technical Competencies - 

• Good knowledge of VBA & SQL.
• Strong experience in Python scripting, including creating scripts from scratch and modifying existing ones based on business needs.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas) and database modeling.
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform, QlikView & MicroStrategy (Added advantage).

Required Functional skills - 

• Experience in writing SQL queries for data extraction from GCP/data warehouse.
• Strong knowledge of Article Master Data Management / reporting.
• Ability to modify scripts and optimize data processing workflows.
• Develop Python scripts from scratch for automation, data transformation, and analytics.
• Enhance and modify existing Python scripts to meet evolving business requirements.
• Experience in data validation, master data reporting, and quality control.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills to improve application performance.
• Ability to document processes and functional specifications effectively.
• Ability to document business requirements and ensure they are clearly translated into deliverable solutions.
• Adaptability to acquire technical skills as per the business needs.
