Role Overview
The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by improving process efficiency, safety, quality, and cost performance. This role works closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement using engineering and operational excellence principles.
This position serves as a key contributor to process optimization efforts, applying technical and analytical methods to enhance production systems, equipment performance, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment
• Identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency, equipment reliability, productivity, yield, and product quality
• Develop, update, and implement standard operating procedures and best practices
• Apply methodologies such as Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and maintenance to drive improvements
• Analyze production and process data to reduce variability and resolve recurring issues
• Support capital projects and improvement initiatives, including cost tracking and performance evaluation
• Assist in planning and executing annual operational goals and improvement strategies
• Maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and conduct trend analysis
• Provide technical support for equipment, systems, and process changes
• Recommend and implement modifications to equipment and production systems as needed
• Train and support team members on updated processes and continuous improvement practices
• Promote and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Familiarity with production processes, heavy equipment, or industrial systems
• Knowledge of quality systems, standardization, and process improvement methods
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization
