JOB DESCRIPTION PROCESS ENGINEER :
Seeking a Senior Process Engineer with industry-specific experience for Contract Manufacturer of personal care and fine fragrance products.
This high-impact position is a vital intermediary role working closely with R&D/Product and will :
Develop/write robust manufacturing process based on formulation and equipment for the compounding team.
Maintain, revise & document processes.
Develop robust fill/assembly procedures based on formula, packaging & filling equipment.
Lead with R&D Technology transfer; Lab scale-up to Pilot to Manufacturing
Supervise first production & validation batches
Participate in line trials.
Develop and implement innovative solutions for compounding and filling of new products while maintaining consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison between R&D, Manufacturing and Quality Control to ensure product integrity and quality.
Develop, maintain & document manufacturing & filling procedures.
Work closely with R&D Chemists to transpose lab batch process to manufacturing batch process.
Validate & approve manufacturing procedures in ERP system.
Work closely with manufacturing to maximize efficiency, repeatability & assist with training.
Primary representative for pilots, 1stproduction & validation batch & fill processing.
Develop & conduct IQ/OQ/PQ as needed.
Support batch adjustment process with QC Bulk specialist.
Support filling operations, as needed.
Reports directly to EVP of R&D.
Key Requirements: • Chemistry or Chemical (or Mechanical) Engineering Degree. • 5+ yrs experience in a manufacturing of cosmetics or personal care products. • Knowledgeable of Quality regulations for Cosmetic products. • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills. • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point). • Superior communication skills (Spanish fluency is preferred).
