We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to support process documentation, standardization, and internal control improvement initiatives within our Quality and Manufacturing teams. This role will be critical in preparing for the transition to the Toronto facility by ensuring that key processes are clearly defined, standardized, and controlled.

Key Accountabilities
Process Documentation & Standardization:
Develop, validate, and maintain standardized process documentation including SOPs, process flow diagrams, and workflow maps across key manufacturing areas.
Ensure all process documentation is accurate, complete, and formally approved by process owners.
Maintain structured documentation within a centralized repository with proper version control.
Best Practices Development & Implementation
Identify and document best practices across manufacturing and operational areas.
Support standardization of processes by aligning similar activities to common methods and practices.
Assist in driving adoption of best practices across applicable teams.
Risk & Quality Management Support
Assist in the creation and implementation of Control Plans to strengthen process controls.
Participate in structured problem-solving activities, including 8D investigations and root cause analysis.
Process Improvement & Optimization
Analyze current workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and process gaps.
Support implementation of process improvement initiatives across manufacturing areas.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in 4th year Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related program
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Interest in manufacturing systems, quality, and process improvement
Ability to document processes clearly and accurately
Familiarity with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucid chart, or similar) is an asset
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, or continuous improvement concepts is an asset
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is an asset.
