• Plan and lead focussed programmes of practical work, record results, and share findings across functions
• Collaborate with colleagues in operations, engineering, and beyond to translate lab insights into manufacturing improvements
• Coach and support others to develop their practical and theoretical chemistry skills
• Degree in Chemistry with hands-on experience in process development, fine chemical, pharmaceutical, or agrochemical manufacturing
• Skilled across a wide range of practical techniques - including air/moisture sensitive chemistry, distillations, crystallisations, and in-process monitoring
• Strong theoretical grounding in organic and physical-organic chemistry
• Ability to risk-assess your own work and develop creative, evidence-based solutions
• Clear communicator with a track record of influencing peers and senior stakeholders
• A PhD in Chemistry is a plus, as is experience with process scale-up, HPLC/GC method development, or statistical analysis tools.
