Role Overview:
The Business Analyst – Enterprise Systems supports the definition, documentation, and improvement of business processes across the Enterprise Systems landscape.
Working under the direction of the Enterprise Systems Manager, this role contributes to understanding how workflows, data, and decisions operate across Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality. The Business Analyst translates business needs into structured documentation and supports the alignment of processes with system behaviour.
This role plays an important supporting position in improving value stream performance by ensuring processes are clearly captured, consistently documented, and aligned to delivery activity.
Responsibilities will include:
Process Documentation & Modelling
Support the documentation of end‑to‑end business processes across core functions
Produce structured process artefacts, including workflows and process maps
Capture business rules, inputs/outputs, and system interactions
Maintain process documentation in line with enterprise standards
Analysis & Insight Support
Assist in analysing process performance (e.g. lead times, bottlenecks, inefficiencies)
Support identification of improvement opportunities under guidance from the Enterprise Systems Manager
Gather data and evidence to support value stream assessments
Requirements Support
Elicit and document business requirements from stakeholders
Translate requirements into structured documentation for Enterprise Systems
Support definition of acceptance criteria and expected outcomes
Ensure requirements are clearly recorded and traceable
Cross-System Coordination Support
Support alignment of processes across Enterprise Systems by documenting interactions and dependencies
Assist in identifying potential conflicts or duplication across systems
Work with delivery teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements
Governance & Documentation
Maintain accurate, up-to-date process and requirements documentation
Support version control and audit readiness of documentation
Ensure information is accessible and consistent across the Enterprise Systems function
Change Impact Support
Assist in assessing the impact of changes on documented processes
Support testing and user acceptance by ensuring business scenarios are captured
Help validate that delivered changes align with documented requirements
Stakeholder Support
Participate in workshops, process reviews, and requirement sessions
Capture outputs, actions, and decisions from discussions
Support communication between business teams and Enterprise Systems
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Experience in business analysis or process documentation
Ability to structure and document business processes and requirements clearly
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Good stakeholder communication and facilitation support skills
Desirable:
Exposure to enterprise systems environments
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or similar operational settings
Familiarity with process mapping or workflow modelling approaches
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.*
