Grace Reliant's growing Residential Services team is looking to invite PRN or part-time Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with customized support in their own homes in a way that aligns with the heart of Grace Reliant. We exist to help people to live more complete and independent lives.
In this role, you will foster independence while providing necessary living assistance and skill development.
Multiple Shifts and Locations available:
Cape Girardeau/Jackson MO Area Part Time Day, Evening, & Night shifts
Shifts could range from 4 hours to 12 hours in length. This position has a flexible part-time schedule, meaning the number of hours and the days worked may change each week.
Incentivized Professional Development: Direct Support Professional online training with $1600 completion incentive
Monthly Merit-Based Incentives: Financial rewards for outstanding performance.
Possibility for full-time hours in the future as our program continues to grow.
Mileage Reimbursement: $0.63 per mile when working with clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and personalized care to clients in their homes.
Assist clients according to their Individualized Service Plan (ISP), ensuring their unique needs and goals are met.
Help clients with daily tasks such as shopping, cleaning, cooking, and personal hygiene to promote independence and well-being.
Provide personal care including toileting, bathing, dressing and some medical care administration
Help clients with daily tasks such as catheters, sit to stand, Hoyer lift, bowel routine, transfers, enemas, brief changes, shower.
Safely transport clients to appointments, classes, and community activities, supporting their engagement and participation in our community.
Offer encouragement and companionship, fostering a positive and supportive environment for clients.
Utilize de-escalation techniques and behavior management strategies to respond to psychiatric crises and maintain safety.
Requirements:
Must be over 18 years old
GED or High School Diploma
Ability to pass a background check
Basic computer skills
Must Have: Valid Driver’s License
Must Have: Own vehicle with current insurance
Must be able to lift or move 30 to 50 lbs.
