Private Markets Funds Investment Analyst- Manager- State Street Investment Management

What we are looking for

The Private Markets Fund Team is looking to hire an enthusiastic analyst with investment experience in Alternatives. Based out of Bangalore, it will be a generalist role to support the expansion of our Middle East office and will work across all of the private asset classes. The individual will work with the broader private markets funds team based out of US, London and Bangalore as well as the Investment Strategist in Dubai. The role involves evaluating new investment opportunities in limited partnership funds, contributing to product initiatives, responding to RFPs, managing/monitoring existing portfolios/products, supporting investment execution processes (risk, legal, operational due diligence, etc. ) and presenting to internal stakeholders as well as the clients (whenever required). This role may also support projects involving the private markets across the broader firm

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Build deep understanding of private investment strategies including Primary fund investments, Equity Co-investments, Secondaries across asset classes i.e. Private Equity, Private Credit and Real Estate
• Support the execution of investments in private market funds and co-investments by performing due diligence, financial analysis, and modeling. Prepare and present memos and other presentations to investment committee and other internal groups
• Perform market research, investment analysis and financial modeling to support new product launches within private markets. Contribute to the ongoing oversight and performance monitoring of existing products
• Manage investment pacing and portfolio construction for our clients including assisting with the production and presentation of materials, organizing and coordinating meetings
• Participate in LP annual meetings, management presentations, and other diligence sessions. Construct arguments about investment decisions and effectively communicate them verbally and in writing on an ongoing basis
• Liaise with other investment team members, operations, risk, operational due diligence and legal teams to prepare responses for prospect or current client inquiries and deliver monitoring reports
• Take lead roles in ad hoc projects, ESG and market research
• Be familiar with MENA local laws and stay up to date with market trends
• Flexibility and willingness to work across asset classes

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience (i.e. private markets, venture capital, valuation advisory, investment banking,)
• MBA/Masters, CFA or CPA
• Strong interest and intellectual curiosity in the private markets
• Highly proficient in financial statement analysis, modeling and valuations
• Extensive knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets
• Strong research skills incorporating qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn new systems and processes
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple investment opportunities and projects
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal / external stakeholders
