• To support this international expansion, we are looking for a technically strong and highly entrepreneurial Analyst to help develop and scale XP’s structured and private credit capabilities, both internally and with external investors and counterparties.
Role Overview
• The Private Credit Analyst supports the origination, structuring, execution, and syndication of onshore and offshore credit transactions, working closely with senior deal professionals from initial underwriting through closing and distribution.
• The Analyst also contributes to portfolio monitoring and supports the scaling of XP’s structured and private credit platform.
• The role involves financial analysis, structuring input, diligence, documentation support, and ongoing interaction with borrowers, investors, and counterparties.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public credit, private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, credit research, or a similar role.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including cash flow modeling, credit analysis, and valuation.
• Exposure to loan origination, deal structuring, and/or syndication processes; experience working on credit committees a plus.
• Solid understanding of credit documentation, collateral structures, and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and support transactions from origination through closing.
• High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and comfort in a fast‑paced, transaction‑driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in Portuguese and English required, Spanish a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data rooms and deal management processes preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• In partnership with XP’s investment and corporate bankers, support the origination of private credit transactions, including borrower screening, preliminary analysis, and preparation of marketing/pitching materials.
• Build and maintain financial models, alongside XP’s market leading credit analysts, and perform detailed credit, cash flow, and downside analyses to support underwriting decisions.
• Assist in structuring transactions, including debt terms, covenants, collateral packages, and intercreditor arrangements.
• Coordinate execution and closing processes, including diligence, documentation review, and interaction with internal and external legal counsel as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Support syndication efforts by preparing marketing materials, engaging with potential lenders/investors, and managing data rooms.
• Monitor the existing portfolio, including performance analysis, covenant tracking, and ongoing credit reviews.
