At VMCH, we are committed to operating safely, ethically, and in line with all relevant laws and standards. Our Risk and Assurance Team plays a critical role in supporting the Chief Risk Officer and Executive team to ensure robust risk management, compliance, insurance, and governance frameworks across the organisation.
We are looking for a Risk and Assurance Coordinator to provide high-quality administrative and operational support that keeps these frameworks running smoothly.
About the Role
Reporting to the Risk and Assurance Manager, you will be the go-to person for managing systems, coordinating compliance activities, and supporting governance processes. Your work will help VMCH meet legislative, regulatory, and contractual obligations while fostering a positive risk and compliance culture.
Key responsibilities include:
Administering the RiskMan system and maintaining risk registers.
Coordinating compliance calendars, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
Managing policy frameworks, ensuring timely reviews and accessibility.
Supporting insurance processes, including claims and renewals.
Assisting with governance reporting, committee support, and data analytics.
Acting as a key contact for internal stakeholders on risk and policy queries.
What We are Looking For:
Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Law, Commerce, Governance, or related field.
Experience in coordination roles within regulated sectors (Aged Care, Disability, Education preferred).
Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance systems (RiskMan experience desirable).
Strong skills in policy administration, data governance, and audit processes.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
High integrity and ability to manage sensitive information.
