Job Summary:

The Printing and Folding Cartons Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating costs and pricing for folding carton projects. This role involves analyzing job specifications, selecting appropriate materials, calculating production costs, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in the printing and packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer requirements, specifications, and design details to generate accurate cost estimates.
• Analyze materials, production methods, and labor costs to determine pricing structures.
• Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to ensure optimal cost efficiency.
• Select appropriate substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing methods based on project needs.
• Prepare quotations, cost breakdowns, and profitability reports.
• Keep updated on industry pricing trends, new technologies, and cost-saving methods.
• Ensure estimates align with production capabilities and efficiency.
• Maintain records of past estimates for reference and data analysis.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain material cost information.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Printing Technology, or related field (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in estimating within the folding carton or packaging industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and manufacturing workflows.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and CAD software (preferred).

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of cost-control strategies and vendor negotiations.
