Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, the Print Operator is responsible for operating cut-sheet and high-speed printers, as well as perfect binding and stitching equipment to produce documents for DDS internal and external clients. This person is responsible for ensuring that they produce high-quality work on a timely basis. The Print Operator will work with the Print Coordinator and shift supervisor to prioritize work requests and ensure that work is processed in priority order.

• High school graduate. Some college preferred
• One year of experience in a print production environment. Knowledge of IBM and Xerox cut sheet printers (IP200, 6180) or IBM high-speed printers (4000, 4100) preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.
• Solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to review printed documents to ensure that they meet DDS quality standards
• Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be flexible to work overtime, including weekends.
• Must be flexible to accept various assignments within the print room (e.g., running different jobs/equipment, learning to utilize new equipment, etc.).
