Principal Sustainability Manager

Role Purpose

Act as ESW’s senior sustainability subject matter expert, shaping medium-term ESG direction and leading complex enterprise-wide initiatives. Provides strategic advice to Legal and senior leadership on sustainability risks, regulatory exposure, and performance improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Advisory

• Support development and refinement of ESW’s 3–5 year sustainability roadmap.

• Lead materiality assessments and ESG risk analysis in partnership with Legal.

• Advise on regulatory exposure and emerging sustainability legislation.

Enterprise Programme Leadership

• Lead large-scale sustainability transformation initiatives.

• Drive integration of ESG requirements into supply chain, product, and operational processes.

• Design and enhance ESG reporting frameworks and controls.

Senior Stakeholder Influence

• Present updates and analysis to senior leadership.

• Support Board reporting (via Head of Legal).

• Serve as escalation point for complex client sustainability matters.

External & Regulatory Engagement

• Liaise with sustainability advisors and industry bodies.

• Track global ESG regulatory developments and assess implications for ESW.

Experience

• 8–12 years’ ESG/sustainability experience.

• Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting and regulatory frameworks.

• Experience influencing senior leaders.

• Strong risk, governance, and analytical capability.
