As a Principal Performance Engineer in Performance Engineering, you will be responsible for understanding Protegrity products and how their performance evaluations have been designed and carried out. You must have a solid knowledge of computer science and excellent problem-solving skills related to computer software and software performance parameters.

In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with the Manager/Director of Product Performance and other team members, involving close interaction with Developers, Quality Assurance, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and DevOps teams. You will be responsible for developing performance evaluation scopes and tests, as well as troubleshooting product performance issues.

You will also technically lead and guide team members in their work. Additionally, you will be required to engage in understanding performance issues arising from customer environments and conducting day-to-day release product performance testing.

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be required to thoroughly learn the products and its associated work assigned to your team members related to product performance.

• Work in an efficient environment to research, automate and troubleshoot performance related work for Protegrity products.

• You will need to develop a fair understanding of the overall architecture of the product and be valued member of the performance engineering team with required cross-functional interactions.

• You should be able guide the team for scope for performance evaluation of the products for a feature or the release; and get it executed till the final product performance evaluations and reports.

• Oversees a variety of product performance cases from start to finish. Offer technical support and guidance to performance team members with analysis and outcome. Interact with stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Expert Hands on with Linux Shell Scripting and computer system monitoring.

• Technically guide the team members for work, improvements and interactions.

• Should have expertise in understanding of application programming and systems.

• Expertise in writing programs using Java/Python or any other programming language.

• Knowledge with best understanding to modern computing concepts like Cloud, Containerization and micro-services. Fair understanding of AI / ML.

• Familiarity to containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes.)

• Best knowledge of OS and services.

• Give technical leadership to the team with interacting cohesively with all stakeholders.

• Guide the team for overall performance engineering functions.

Desired Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good understanding of computer science.

• Good Knowledge and experience with operating system like Linux/Unix.

• Strong willingness to research and explore technologies in and around the product and its performance evaluations and improvements.
