We're looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hybrid role, reporting in the Bangalore office 3 days a week. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

• Partnering with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements

• Defining software design specifications and implementing bug free code using test driven methodology

• Looking for opportunities to refactor existing code in the interests of maintainability and reusability and also diagnose complex customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution

• Collaborating closely with other cross functional engineering teams (security, UI, platform, analytics and quality assurance)

• Leading a group of junior engineers on technical guidance, mentoring and also assisting in development details

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 13+ years of experience developing large-scale cloud networking and security applications, with expertise in software design and programming in C, plus Go or Python

• Knowledge of networking protocols and services (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS) combined with expertise in firewall policy enforcement and traffic forwarding rules

• Good experience in working with AWS/Azure/GCP networking, namely - transit gateway, IGW, NATGW, NACL, security groups. GWLB, ILB, Route53, Azure DNS

• Good experience in working with AWS/Azure/GCP Database services and PubSub mechanisms and SDKs

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity/experience with developing security Firewall features

• Prior experience with building solutions for ‘software as a Service’ platform and leveraging cloud native infrastructure services

• Should also be building for cloud scale and performance including leveraging services like auto scaling group for dynamic workload traffic profiles
