As Principal Product Manager for Search Platform, you will lead the strategy for a capability vital to key Dow Jones products, including Wall Street Journal and Factiva. Your vision will empower users - from consumers to researchers - to efficiently discover critical insights within our extensive content and data. This highly strategic role involves tackling the complex challenges of modern search and leveraging AI technologies to innovate and deliver exceptional experiences. You will operate with autonomy to shape the future of search across our portfolio, driving significant business value. This role reports to the VP of PM for Platforms.

You Will:

Develop, own, and champion the overarching product strategy and vision for Search across relevant Dow Jones platforms.
Establish and manage operational plans, roadmaps, and backlogs for search, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective execution.
Lead and inspire cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, design, etc.) to deliver high-quality search features and platform enhancements.
Drive alignment and build consensus among diverse senior stakeholders across technology, commercial, and content teams.
Define, monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for search, using data to inform strategy and demonstrate product value.
Continuously evaluate the competitive landscape, user feedback, and emerging technologies (especially Generative AI) to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in Search.

You Have:

10+ years of experience in product management, with a significant track record in a leadership capacity focused on news products, data products, or information services.
Demonstrated experience developing product strategy, setting operational plans, and driving alignment to achieve cohesive outcomes for large, complex product areas.
Proven ability to deeply understand diverse user workflows and translate customer needs into impactful product solutions.
Proven ability to translate customer needs and technical possibilities - informed by a strong understanding of Generative AI concepts and their potential applications - into actionable product strategy and requirements.
Deep understanding of search technologies (indexing, querying, ranking), relevance concepts, and NLP is a plus.
