Principal Product Manager - AI & Innovation

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - AI & Innovation to rapidly design, build, and prototype new product capabilities from the ground up. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our product offerings. You will be a hands-on builder and a strategic leader, taking concepts from the idea stage to functional prototypes. You will work closely with leadership and product management to transform our roadmap into tangible, high-impact features that protect our members. This role reports directly to the VP of Product Management.

What you will do:
• Opportunity Identification & Strategy: Identify and develop new opportunities to deliver value to BlackCloak members, with a focus on emerging technologies and competitive differentiators. Identify and act on opportunities to automate workflows on behalf of BlackCloak customer operations teams.
• Prototyping: Lead the end-to-end rapid prototyping process, from initial concept to functional prototype, ensuring initiatives meet defined success criteria. Translate ambiguous business concepts into clear, concise, and actionable requirements for prototype development. Identify, procure, and manage a dedicated toolset to enable the efficient creation and testing of functional prototypes.
• Technical Product Strategy: Partner with CSOC leadership, Engineering and the Director of Product Innovation to vet new ideas, assess technical feasibility, and define architectural approaches that align with our long-term product vision.
• Technology & Market Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, third-party services, and frameworks based on their potential to solve member problems and create strategic advantages for BlackCloak.
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of new product concepts, from initial research and hypothesis testing to building the business case and gathering feedback from internal stakeholders before committing to full-scale development.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with our platform, mobile, and security engineering teams to ensure the seamless integration of successful prototypes into our existing ecosystem.

What you need to be successful:
• Experience: 5+ years of technical product management experience with a proven track record of shipping complex products across mobile, desktop, and cloud environments. A background in software engineering is a significant advantage.
• Product-Minded Leadership: A strong product sense and the ability to act as a strategic partner to both leadership and engineering. You are driven by solving member problems and can effectively translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Technical Credibility: Deep technical literacy and architectural understanding across our technology stack, including cloud services (GCP preferred), mobile & desktop development, and networking principles. You must be able to engage in deep technical discussions with engineers and architects.
• Prototyping & Validation Excellence: Proven ability to lead technical validation and prototyping processes in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to translate concepts into clear requirements and manage projects from brief to functional prototype.
• Technical Communication: Strong technical writing and documentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders, and define clear success criteria and milestones for prototype-to-production pathways.
• Autonomy & Drive: A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage complex projects end-to-end with minimal oversight in a high-growth environment.
• AI Acumen: Demonstrable experience in productizing AI technologies. You can identify high-impact use cases for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, define clear product requirements, and navigate the technical and ethical trade-offs required to ship intelligent features that solve real-world member problems.
