A Day in the Life
The Scrum Master / IT Project Lead will be responsible for driving Agile delivery and managing end-to-end execution of IT initiatives within the PLM ecosystem (Windchill, ThingWorx, and related enterprise systems).
This role combines Scrum Master responsibilities with project leadership, ensuring effective Agile practices, team coordination, and successful delivery of solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
• Scrum Master & Agile Facilitation
• Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
• Sprint planning
• Daily stand-ups
• Sprint reviews
• Retrospectives
• Ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices.
• Coach teams on Agile mindset, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.
• Project Leadership & Delivery Management
• Lead end-to-end delivery of PLM-related initiatives across multiple workstreams.
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Track progress and ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Drive governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Backlog & Sprint Management
• Work closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the backlog.
• Ensure user stories are well-defined, refined, and ready for development.
• Support sprint planning, estimation, and capacity planning.
• Monitor sprint execution and ensure timely completion of commitments.
• Team Coordination & Dependency Management
• Coordinate across multiple teams and workstreams using Scrum of Scrums.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and integration points.
• Ensure alignment between development, QA, and business teams.
• PLM Domain & Delivery Oversight
• Oversee delivery of solutions involving Windchill PLM, ThingWorx, and related applications.
• Ensure deliverables align with business requirements and system architecture.
• Provide functional and technical context to facilitate team understanding.
• Monitor integration activities across systems such as CAD, ERP, MES, MDM, and PIM.
• Impediment & Risk Management
• Identify and remove impediments impacting team productivity and delivery.
• Track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Maintain risk logs and ensure timely resolution or escalation.
• Quality & Release Readiness
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and Definition of Done.
• Support testing, validation, and release planning activities.
• Ensure readiness for deployments, including coordination with stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Act as the primary liaison between business, IT, and delivery teams.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment.
• Team Leadership & Coaching
• Mentor and guide team members on Agile practices and collaboration.
• Foster a high-performing, self-organizing team environment.
• Drive continuous improvement and team maturity.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field
• 12+ years of IT experience with:
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience
• Project/program management exposure
• Experience working with:
• PLM systems (Windchill, ThingWorx or similar)
• Enterprise system integrations
• Proven experience in:
• Scrum Master role for Agile teams
• Managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading distributed/offshore teams
