What You'll Do
Lead Cutting-Edge Research
Serve as Principal Investigator on multiple clinical trials in psychiatry and neurology
Design and implement research protocols in full compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, and institutional guidelines
Oversee all study phases from patient recruitment through completion and follow-up
Ensure the highest standards of data integrity and quality across all clinical trials
Provide Expert Clinical Oversight
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations of study participants
Make critical medical decisions regarding participant safety and study continuation
Supervise research coordinators and clinical study staff
Maintain meticulous medical records and research documentation
Ensure Regulatory Excellence
Maintain strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Represent the organization during regulatory inspections and audits
Submit timely, accurate reports to sponsors, IRB/Ethics Committees, and regulatory bodies
Build and Lead High-Performing Teams
Mentor and develop research staff including coordinators, nurses, and data managers
Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including statisticians and sponsors
Deliver comprehensive training on study protocols and procedures
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Education & Credentials:
MD or DO degree with completed residency in Psychiatry, Neurology, or related specialty
Board certification in Psychiatry or Neurology
Current California medical license
Active DEA registration
Essential Experience:
Deep expertise in psychiatric and neurological disorders
Proven experience with regulatory submissions and agency interactions
Strong clinical research methodology background
Core Competencies:
Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with research databases and electronic data capture systems
Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects
Preferred Qualifications
Fellowship training in relevant subspecialty
Experience with CNS therapeutics and biomarker research
Track record of peer-reviewed publications
Proficiency in Spanish language (Read, write, and speak)
