We have immediate openings for the position of "Principal Engineer, Signal Integrity” with a reputed MNC located in Bangalore.

About Company:

The Company is a manufacturer of electronic interconnectors. It sells over 100,000 products, including everything from electrical and fiber optic interconnects solutions, to switches and application tooling. The Company supplies a variety of industries, including the telecom, data com, computer and peripheral, automotive, premise wiring, industrial, consumer, medical and military markets.

Primary Purpose

• Design, model, analyze, and characterize high-speed connectors and systems.
• Act as a focal point in providing technical leadership.
• Work with customers to develop application specific solutions and provide technical support.
• Conduct research on new and emerging areas of interconnects science.
• Be recognized by customers as a technical leader in the field of interconnects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Discover and invent new techniques and methods in modeling, design, and measurement
• Leads a team in developing major new products. Guide and direct the activities of multifunctional team(s) according to the priorities set by Engineering management.
• Perform high-speed empirical and analytical signal integrity evaluations of connectors.
• Recommend changes in designs or technical procedures.
• Conduct and coordinate analytical simulations for connector systems.
• Provide development input to design teams, create electrical product models and documentation.
• Analyze variation dependence and parametric optimization.
• Work in laboratory environment to validate design and correlate measurement with simulations using VNA, TDR and Oscilloscope.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Education

Required: BSEE, BS Physics, or BS Applied Math

Preferred: MS and PhD in above disciplines.

Work experience

Required: 6+ years design experience or 4+ years with MS or higher

Preferred: 10 years design experience or 5+ years with MS or higher

• Technical Team leadership
• Software
• Ansys HFSS & Designer, CST, Agilent ADS & PLTS, Matlab
• Test and Measurement
• VNA, TDR
• Channel modeling and correlation, connector design and validation, standards committee participation, ability to mentor, technical papers published

Preferred

• Established records of invention such as patent ownership
• Established records of technical paper authorship
• Communications system and hardware engineering experience.
