AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a Security Designer works alongside architects, engineers and interior designers daily, providing unique opportunities for collaboration and personal development not available in many other design firms. The designer will be required to develop integrated security solutions for a wide variety of clients utilizing security solutions such as surveillance systems, access control, intrusion detection, visitor management, voice communication systems as well as integrated collaborative systems used in the security and control operation center environment. The Security Designer will be required to develop security solutions based on client requirements.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of integrated security systems and possess exceptional business and people skills as well as managing the various design phases of complex security solutions. The candidate will have the ability to work independently and communicate in a confident, articulate and sensitive manner is essential. The candidate should have a passion for design innovation and quality and be able to effectively balance that with efficiency and creativity in the development of the design solution.
Candidates for this position will perform specific and/or limited Security Design and Consulting duties for Data Centers and Commercial Facilities as part of a team of expert Consultants to:
• Design access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and alarm systems, providing comprehensive protection both inside and outside the building.
• Identify risks and threat models into layered security strategies (perimeter, building, floor, room, rack/cage) to be mitigated in the security design.
• Define security zoning, access policies, and operational workflows (employees, visitors, contractors, vendors, deliveries).
• Provide CCTV camera views using 3D models and coverage maps.
• Ensure compliance with Codes, standards and regulations.
• Develop drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Coordinate closely with architecture, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, ICT, and operations.
• Collaborate with various teams to facilitate the integration of security systems, building automation, energy and power management systems, audiovisual solutions, and other IP-based technologies utilized in building operations.
• Gather and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. 
• Work on detailed and/or routine design and/or consulting assignments. 
• Perform work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with supervision. 
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant technological field, + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education of security design and building automation experience.
• Strong working knowledge and demonstrate skills of AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of the AIA design process is also desirable.
• Intermediate level of English, written and spoken. 
Preferred Qualifications:
• + 10 years of relevant experience Industry international security certifications: PSP, CPP, CISSP, NFPA, ESS, EN or similar are preferred.
• Well-known manufacturers with technical certifications, like: Axis, Genetec, Milestone, LenelS2, AMAG, HID, Motorola, Schneider, Jhonson Control, Honeywell or similar, are preferred.
• Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD or RITP) Certification is preferred.
• Professional experience and/or proficiency in various software products, including but not limited to, Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other security and automation specific simulators and design Programs.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
