The Role

Ready to get stuck into a meaty modernisation challenge? We need a Principal Engineer to lead the charge on service decomposition. ClearPoint is currently humming with new work, and we are looking for multiple senior pros to join us. You will be the primary technical resource responsible for assessing complex NMS architectures involving NodeJS, VueJS, and MongoDB while leading the shift toward a modern service based future.

We are big on using the right tools for the job, so you will leverage AI assisted tooling to accelerate codebase analysis and drive deeper insights. We are an Auckland based crew, but for this role, we are happy for you to work from anywhere in NZ. We also value balance, so we are open to both Full Time and Part Time applicants.

The experience we are looking for

Deep expertise in the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem and modernising monolithic applications.

•
A solid handle on cloud native deployment patterns, specifically Kubernetes and containerisation.

•
Experience conducting codebase deep dives and identifying architectural patterns or dependencies.

•
Ability to work collaboratively with client side Lead Systems Engineers and Architects.

What you will be doing

•
Developing target service based architectures and producing incremental modernisation roadmaps.

•
Leading technical working sessions and workshops to drive architectural decisions.

•
Providing technical rigour across all deliverables to ensure they are stakeholder ready.
