About the role

The Engineering Productivity Team designs, builds and maintains the foundational systems that NetSkope’s engineers use to build Industry Leading security products. This is a critical team and you will get an opportunity to envision, plan and deliver solutions to accelerate Software Delivery for NetSkope.

What’s in it for you

We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, implement and deploy tools, systems, workflows, processes and pipelines that accelerate engineering velocity, reduce manual effort, and increase the quality of output.

What you will be doing

• Design, develop, implement and deploy tools, systems, workflows, processes and pipelines that accelerate engineering velocity, reduce manual effort, and increase the quality of output.

• Work closely with various teams within NetSkope to understand their CI workflows, challenges, and needs, and create solutions to address these requirements.

• Guide and advise service engineering teams on best practices on software development and delivery.

• Leverage AI technologies to re-think how NetSkope Engineering can be the most productive team in the industry.

• Extend. Build AI and Non AI solutions customized for NetSkopes Needs.

• Like all other teams, we are responsible for the reliability of the systems we build. This includes an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents as needed.

• As technical context: Some technologies we build with include Services from AWS, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, golang, Python etc.

Required skills and experience

• Minimum 15+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 8+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Productivity Engineering roles.

• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud infrastructure initiatives (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, cloud security, IAM, and compliance standards and expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform etc.).

• Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and ability to design and maintain highly scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline design and optimization (Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.) with deep understanding of DevSecOps principles and integrating security into CI/CD workflows.

• Expertise in observability and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK etc.) and strong background in automation using scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).

• Experience building internal developer platforms (IDP) and improving developer productivity tooling.

• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing cross-functional technical strategy.

• Ability to define technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, including executive-level presentations.

Education

• BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred.
